GM Tells 1.4 Million Car Owners To Only Park In Wide Open Spaces

General Motors Co. said Friday it is warning the owners of 1.41 million recalled older cars not to park in garages or other structures indefinitely until it has a recall fix.

The Detroit automaker said earlier this week it is recalling the 1997-2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, 2000-04 Chevrolet Impala, 1998-99 Chevrolet Lumina and 1998-2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 1998-99 Oldsmobile Intrigue and 1997-2004 Buick Regal "because drops of oil may be deposited on the hot exhaust manifold through hard braking, which can cause engine compartment fires. GM is working on a remedy." GM said there have been 19 reported minor injuries over the last six years.

4th recall for the same issue. That's GM for ya! there be a 5th, 6th, 7th...etc.

a woman at my company drove a GM...caught on fire in the underground parking. Everyone in the 14th story building had a fire evacuation. Costing the company hundreds of thousands of dollars of business expenses. How does GM/Obama/UAW pay for the lost expenses?
Maybe Obama can bailout GM again with Taxpayers Tarp money..and GM again can pay it back from Tarp money they still have from previous bailouts. GM=POS company.

He is smart...he didn't want to be in the car when it burns down. SO, he got good publicity, a tax deduction for gift, and got rid of the death trap. Hopefully, she will have it fix...if not the 4th recall...maybe the 10th recall will fix it. Or let it burn baby!
