FIRST Pics! Other Midsize Luxury SUVs STAND CLEAR, The All-New 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 Is HERE!
As I was writing in the other story related to the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class getting spied at a Mercedes facility, the three-pointed star continues to introduce fantastic, all-new products. The latest one we've had the chance to drive?

That would be the all-new, 2016 GLC300.

For those of you still confused by Mercedes' nomenclature change, this is the GLK-Class replacement. That means it will square up against the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Lexus RX.

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300

The head cheese here at AutoSpies, Agent 001, just got back from his trip down south to where Mercedes now calls home, Georgia. Although he has yet to fully debrief me on the all-new German, from what I loosely understand the competition is going to have a bit of a problem on its hands. That's because the all-new GLC is that good.

Something tells me if you've seen how Mercedes has handled large luxury sedans with its S-Class and the entry-level category with its C-Class you will NOT be disappointed when the GLC lands in your local showroom. Expect it to do away with the others like it's no big deal.

But I'll let 001 give you the full banana. Until then, enjoy his shots from a rather rain-soaked Georgia.

I really like that exterior, except for the headlights. Really nice rear.

MB insists on putting that stupid iPad-looking screen on the dash. Enough already ...

This will sell like mad. It will suck to be Audi and BMW.

@MDarringer - you better stop smoking those funny cigarettes. Just when I thought I agreed with some of your post recently, you begin puffin that funny tobacco again.

This will hardly make BMW or Audi run. As "TheSteve" and "Dexter" said, enough with the stupid looking screen display; the frontcend looks like the "C" class (and bloggers said Audi has the same design. I said this before they ALL do among their car models).
The interior except the screen area looks very nice. The outside does absolutely nothing for me. MB needs to do something with that weird front end. My wife's 2014 GLK I think is nicer looking then these front ends.

We won't be rushing to buy a MB GLC anytime soon with this mug face. By the way, they still have their "A and B" alternating service (ie. $350; $500; $350; $500). Most expensive oil change I've ever had done.

big improvement over predecessor, and unlike other cute-utes this one looks willing to go off road, should be the one to beat.

The exterior looks nice, but I'm not sure about that sparse looking interior though...

Another POS suv from the company with very little experience making road going SUV's. They need to stick with sedans and let Toyota and Lexus make the SUV's.

Really??? Does G-Wagon, or ML 320...the one that started it all for modern day SUV's, or the GL which does quadruple the numbers the LX does mean anything to you...but I digress if you prefer a glorified Rav 4 AKA NX...enjoy

The MB L3000 truck, 1938-1943, was used by the German Army in WW2. Used by the Afrika Korps and favored by Rommel for ruggedness and versatility. MB builds/owns Freightliner trucks. MB knows trucks/SUV's.

Quite possibly one of the dumber comments on AutoSpies. Which, frankly, is a pretty tough feat to achieve. ;)

I agree that it will sell well - it is enough different to be recognizable as a new Mercedes. As far as BMW and Audi - their styling is getting too similar and dated again to me. Audi has its other problems as well.

As far as expensive Oil Changes - I am a Transmission rebuilder - I would never consider letting a dealership do an oil change for that price. However - I suspect a Transmission Fluid Change is in one of those services - and Mercedes Trans Fluid is unique - only available from Mercedes - and is expensive. Add in that the Mercedes dealer near me only uses synthetic oil - and you get a more expensive service. If you are too stupid to be able to remove an oil filter and a Oil drain plug yourself - find an outside mechanic - or pay the price.

Looks cramped inside. Have to agree about the screen, ie, ugly.
