Takata's Future Uncertain After Toyota, Honda, Nissan, And Mazda All Abandon Supplier
Toyota Motor Corp. joined Honda Motor Co. in saying it won’t use key components made by Takata Corp., as more automakers come out to distance themselves from the air-bag supplier whose defective devices are behind the biggest ever automotive safety recall.

“The inflator using ammonium nitrate produced by Takata will not be adopted by Toyota,” Toyota President Akio Toyoda said at a briefing in Tokyo Friday. “What’s most important above anything else is the safety and peace of mind of customers.”

Last I heard, Takata was having daily meetings with the bank to ensure solvency. They're that close to bankruptcy. The scandal has pretty well done them in.

And eventually the future of Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Subaru and Mitsubishi will become uncertain as Japan will soon be reaching 5 years of radiation from Fukushima.

Japan practically learned nothing from Chernobyl and did absolutely nothing to secure the safety of people of Japan in the past 4 years and 8 months.
