Your First Choice? R&T Names Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R As Performance Car Of The Year

THE OLD BLACK FIREBIRD was blocking our exit from the gas station. As the passenger door opened, I saw the look on the face of the immense, camouflage-clad good ol' boy who sprang out like he'd just spotted a new form of game on his personal hunting grounds. Throwing the Cadillac ATS-V coupe into neutral, I jumped out to greet the man before he reached our group. I spotted a sun-worn but freshly polished badge on the Pontiac's front fender. No way. Could it be?

"Eighty-eight GTA, am I right?"

Impressive car at any price, much less its current price. That being said, for similar price, I'd choose the ATS-V.

Good call! Beautiful car. Funny though, that blue color is not available.
Go to your Ford dealership, look, sit in and hear the incredible engine sound and experience the GT0350. Remarkable!

The Mustang is an amazing product that only gets more amazing the more you pay. The GT350R is a supercar for Walmart pricing (relatively speaking).

Great car, great choice. However with new Camaro SS taking it to Mustang GT so convincingly if I were Ford I would worry about upcoming Camaro LT1 and Z28's. Better take the Shelby GT500 up to Hellcat territory in power and get handling right.

I do agree. The Camaro SS has come out swinging already and performance can (should) only get better from here.
