The ONLY Way We Know How To Honor Our French Friends: What's Your Favorite French Vehicle In History?

The ONLY Way We Know How To Honor Our French Friends: What's Your Favorite French Vehicle In History?
The past 12 hours have been brutal for our friends based in France. Right now, as morning is sweeping across the European nation, a terrorist attack has griped the capital city that is now under lock down. In addition, France's borders are closed.

And the death toll continues to rise with, sadly, many more additions expected.

As we are not a leading global news site, reporting this type of news is not our specialty. But to honor our French friends that are going through an incredibly difficult and trying time — we know that pain since 9/11 — we'd like to channel some positive vibes to our French friends and fans.

Having said that, we'd love to hear your thoughts about what you consider the greatest French car even built.

We're keeping Paris and greater France in our thoughts and offer our condolences to those affected by the attacks in the past 12 hours.

Totally sux what happened in Paris this evening, I think a lot of Americans fail to remember who helped get us through the revolutionary war. To answer your broadly based question... I will go with the Bugatti 100p, what a beautiful plane.

The Obama administration is moving to increase and accelerate the number of Syrian refugees who might be admitted into the United States by opening new screening outposts in Iraq and Lebanon, administration officials told Reuters on Friday.
The Democrat party has found a way to import murders into America to destroy our society.

This was a big "wake the f#*$ up!" to the French and liberal politicians in the U.S. Have to protect your people first before worrying about the rest of the world. Hopefully the Germans are paying attention too.

Yesterday morning Obama announced that "ISIS is contained." By evening the whole world knew differently. The man is clueless. My heart and prayers are with the people in Paris and the innocent people of the world who are in pain.

Personally, I adore the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic pictured in our cover shot.

A truly stunning piece of design that really is the epitome of French design that was well ahead of its time.

Is it worth $40+ MM? Well, I guess it's worth whatever someone will pay for it.

I find it reprehensible when a tragedy happens and then people on social media pour onto it pretending to have empathy so as to self-glorify. It's what narcissists do.

Agreed, and then they will also typically start on their self righteous right wing or left wing political rant.

Staying on subject of paying tribute to the French car, my favorite French carS (sorry, can't limit myself to one) are

- Citroen DS
- Citroen SM
- Citron CX

They still look beautifully contemporary today, in picture or in real life, as they did when they shocked the world decades ago. It's not just the exterior design's space age look either. Their interior design are futuristic and unique. Their technical features are imaginative while functionally effective as well.

Can't beat the 57SC Atlantic. Certainly one of the most beautiful cars of all time.

Kudos have to go to the mass-market small and affordable cars that France has provided to the world throughout the years so everyone can drive a car. Renault 5, Peugeot 20x, Citroën 2CV.

Of course my current favorites are the Renault Zoe and Renault Twizy :)

Being a WRC fan, I have always loved the Peugeot 206 WRC.

And I know even Europeans would pan me on this one, but I love the Peugeot RCZ having seen them a few times while living abroad. This car is only ever driven by the Cobalt SS demographic, but I'd still sport one.
