Not sure, but did they raise their sales by ten fold? I don't think so. Do Toyotas cost 200k, I don't think so.

Come on, seeing an increase from 1000 to 10000 isn't that great. How 'bout Toyota moving from selling about 7 million cars about 4 years ago to setting a goal of 9.8 million for 2008 (They will sell about 9 million this year I think). Wow that is an increase. Now Bentley is a super-premium manufacturer so the increase is big for that category, but calling them the hottest - gives the credit to the wrong company.

And it is still better than anything that BMW has to offer. The Continental GT chassis that has some Phaeton parts is a world class chassis (Phaeton as well) Which of the two British uber luxo companies is doing better after they were bought out by different German giants?

I mean, 2.8 Million people, is a lot of people. Don't get me wrong. Going from 1,000 to 10,000 is quite a feat, but to say that 2.8Mil people bought soul-less cars just doesn't justify the big leap in sales. People just don't go out and pick a certain brand, because they don't know anything about it.
Anyhow, I personally think VW is not a great brand. It's the 'German' brand only, that gets people buying it. I don't fall for that gimmick. Don't take this the wrong way because I love BMW and Merc's I just don't like VW and I think they build crappy cars.

We had an Arnage in our customer parking lot a few days ago. What a beautiful machine. A week before tha, we had the new Rolls. The Rolls has much more presense- and is MUCH larger. The Bently, much more grace and beauty, in my opinion.

The Arnage is the old Bentley. It wil be replaced in the future, probably.

Although I hate to admit it "Bentley owes much of their current success to Paris Hilton and NBA stars!" I have to agree wit Will on this one. But its a nice feat for Bentley no matter which Co. owns them.

The Continental GT, and Flying Spur for that matter, are faster than every BMW on the market today, and more luxurious, and more expensive, etc, etc.

In short, BMW sucks in comparison. A Flying Spur could so easily smoke your imaginary M5 from a straight.

And is the W12 a bad platform to have? I don't think so. 550hp at your disposal sounds like a pretty good proposition to me. It makes the horrible Phantom look like a casket!

Yeah guys, selling 9 million cars and making 10 billion profit each year for the past three years isn't a big thing ;).

However, as I have said before, the increase of Bentley's sales is a good accomplishment - don't get me wrong there.

He's talking about the biggest improvement fractionally, geez.

Bentley produces 10X the cars they made in 2003-- Toyota hasn't gone up anything near 10X.

Although Toyota made a bigger leap forward, it's not as big of a difference for the brand. You don't see them going from 7 million to 70 million each year.

This car Bentley is realy desirable!

I thought the manufactor that made the biggest leap forward in the past 3 years would have been Hyundai. Go figure :P

1,000 to 10,000 is quite an amount. That's a 1000% increase, in three years. And in a company as "exclusive" as Bentley! VW has revolutionized the meaning of the word.
