#LAAS2015: Mazda Keeps The Zoom Zoom Alive As Sneak Peeks Of The 2016 CX-9 Leak Out
It wasn't that long ago when the Mazda CX-9 jumped onto the scene and finally infused some Zoom-Zoom into the rather boring mainstream full sized SUV market.  So when Mazda announced a new CX-9 for the LA Auto Show this year, more than a few of us perked up hoping for a repeat of segment redefining SUV.

It seems Christmas came a bit early this year as some of the official brochure shots have leaked ahead of the official debut and we can clearly see that Mazda has kept the clean lines that made the CX-9 stand out from the crowd.  Check these shots from our 2015 LA Auto Show Photo Gallery out and tell us if Mazda still has a niche for a swoopy mainstream SUV all sewn up.

While you are at it keep checking back for update through out the day today as we keep updating the photos.

mazda should be applauded for their commitment to good design - at their price range. They have a great team of designers - this big suv looks very attractive and not cumbersome at all - congrats

I'm not into CUV but this seems like a handsome looking CUV. Best looking CUV in Mazda's line up in my opinion.

Toyota, reliable but boring and invisible
Subaru, also reliable with a peculiar and very geographic solid fan base
Honda, reliable but the mojo is almost gone
Nissan, once again reliable but your designers must be doing some kind of bad drug
Mazda, only one -besides reliable- with soul and good looking cars but lacking in PR, sales, and lineup could use 2 or 3 more cars with bigger engines.

Why do the Asians not have a balls-to-the-walls SUV? Infiniti completely fk'd that one up when they changed the FX to Q-whatever and dropped the V8 entirely.

I think Mazda ought to just own up to the fact the CX-9 doesn't sell, and come up with something along the lines of the old FX.
