Mercerdes Expands AMG V12 Engine Production Because REAL Performance Comes From Cubic Inches
We have been hearing lately all sorts of news regarding small engines, emissions limits, fuel-efficiency, downsizing of the smaller engines, and more emission limits. The Mercedes-Benz AMG division does not know anything about any of these and neither its clients and has to cope with other problems.

So, due to strong demand for its high-performance cars, Mercedes-AMG is to start the assembly of its 12-cylinder engines in a new location at Daimler’s site in Mannheim. The workers who currently build the V12 at the AMG headquarters in Affalterbach will be shifted to the eight-cylinder engine lines. The 12-cylinder unit fitted in S 65, S 65 Coupe, G 65 and SL 65 models will continue to be developed at Affalterbach.

Sure, Lexus did the LFA, but it was a hand-built cottage car that in NO WAY related to rest of there line and furthermore the tech of the LFA in NO WAY made their products better. The LFA was merely Lexus masturbating its vestigial man part.

Mercedes--for its part--definitely trickles down its technological advancements.
