#LAAS2015: The BEST Real-Life Shots Of Lexus' BIG, BAD, REVAMPED LX Detailed Inside And Out
If you need space and seating for seven, have a lot of coin to spend and want something that will take on ALL of Mother Nature's worst elements, then there's only several vehicles to really consider. That would be the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, the Land Rover Range Rover — though you will only have seating for five unless you go for the Sport model — and the Lexus LX570.

For 2016 Lexus has given the LX an overhaul much like we saw with the LS sedan years ago.

This means while much of the vehicle's important bits remain similar, the vehicle gets a revised exterior and a massively revised interior. The cabin's centerpiece is now a massive 12-inch infotainment display that rests atop the center stack. This unit first appeared in the GS when it first debuted.

Although there may be a tremendous amount of naysayers squawking about how this LX looks atrocious, let me take the time to remind you that people said the exact same thing about the GX. Then, Lexus went and shot the lights out with them from a sales perspective.

Our very own Agent 001 made sure to photograph the newly revamped LX inside and out so you can weigh in. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Grill is a little large but I like the rest. Having owned one previously I can say they're bullet proof, feel free to beat on it but few will.

Great feedback!

Personally, I see this as a pretty cool vehicle and I am liking the refresh. I know people are going to bash it but I think this will combat the GL and Range Rover better than people are giving it credit for.

Given that this particular platform has really stood the test of recent time, it's hard not to appreciate that Lexus has chosen not to change the basics too much.

IMO, the grill will look 100% better in a darker (metal) finish. Pick a color or material, just not chrome.

Otherwise, the execution is luxury & capability. And it wasn't a bad idea to adjust the ride height to a low setting for the auto show. Looks ready for the road....err highway.

Ugly inside and out but somehow proudly of being so.
Will sell and be seen in driveways of rich neighborhoods along wth GLs and RRs

This will only sell if priced at a discount, just like the GX had to be reduced to start moving. Both the exterior and interior are an absolute eyesore. Those areas around the center console look like it needs a dosage of ibuprofen to reduce the swelling. Awful. And someone needs to tell Lexus that the industry has moved on from glossy walnut wood trim. Awful.

Sure, this thing may be bulletproof, but trust me I'll still be trying to shoot it dead.

i think this is the best iteration of the LX570. Its exterior is now streamlined and doesn't look so out of proportion. I'm sure it will sell well.

The issue I have with all Japanese SUV's is their tyres. They create this massive bulky vehicle then put this narrow thin wheels, probably because the wider tyres get worse gas mileage. It looks like that huge massive guy at the gym that always skips leg day. At least BMW and Range Rover put proper tyres on their SUV's.

My favorite LX was the 1998-2007. Classic elegance and still looks great when I see them on the road. What the hell is happening to Lexus. They use to make beautiful cars and suv's. Those new grilles are just ugly! I use to hate Acura grilles too and so did many but now they look classically beautiful. The new Lexus grilles look like pure plastic...that's because they are.

The LX is an awesome vehicle. Anybody who believes that this is not the best Large SUV on the market knows little about what their customers wants, ie, comfort and reliability.

Sharp! I think the grill execution works on this model and the IS but not feeling it on the ES at all or the GS and worst of all is the GX. The mouse type interface for the nav is not good but overall it is quite attractive!
