PHOTOS: The hottest new Honda unveiled?
Having wowed the crowds with a stunning concept at July's British Motor Show, Honda has given the production model a look that's as sensational as every enthusiast hoped. Sharply styled 18-inch alloys, wider wheelarches and a gaping front air dam help provide the Civic's distinctive shape with a much more aggressive edge.

Not bad...I'm sure it will appeal to the mini and beetle fans.

The Civic is radical and daring - but for my tastes, it's too ugly. Maybe younger people like these kinds of designs, I don't. ;)

Still, I could see bobbing the tail and bringing it to the US as a CRX. Its different enough from the coupe and would be an inexpensive way to reintroduce the CRX to the market, since the car is already in production.

Nice windshield wipers.

Giant fog lights, I hate people that use fog lights.

This car is pretty good! I think its the best that honda came up with in its civic line. Ive seen a review of it and its much more interesting than it looks.

I had high hopes with the new Type R but im slightly dissapointed. It looks ok - I think that the vauxhall astra VXR is better still and why did honda lose the concepts 19" alloy design and replace them with boring 18s"? The interior is standard Civic albeit with a few touches (no bad thing) but the seats are straight from the old model. The Golf GTI, Astra VXR and Focus ST all have better looking seats.

I had my deposit ready for next year but I think It'll be going towards the VXR.

and i thought the civic hatch was ugly enough! honda should leave their "future" design for the future!

Very nice. It is funny how many BMW guys are honda haters. I guess one of the best selling cars in the world must have faults.

Is this another boy racer that is available with manual transmission only? I can't get an extra parking space for a second car and my wife can't drive stick shift.
Does Honda not have a conventional automatic transmission that can handle the power?

I like it, but thought it would have more power. But its not coming to the states. And if it was I would have to compare to the Mini.. I wish we had cars like astra VXR hopefully Saturn will. I think with gas pricing the way it is now that people are going to start looking for fun to drive cars.. or is that wishful thinking.
