STUD OR DUD? Facelifted 2018 Porsche 911 Caught In The Wild

These are the first spy pictures of the next-generation Porsche 911, which has been spotted testing ahead of its anticipated launch in 2018.

This early test mule, which is wearing modified bodywork from the recently revealed facelifted 911, is understood to be chassis testing for the next-generation model. The only details that give away this car's true purpose are its extended wheel arches, which are understood to hide a wider rear axle, and a special covering over its fuel filler cap.

Yes it's what the oldsters want, but the lack of styling imagination is wearing thin.

Your lack of new comments on styling is wearing thin. If something works why change it? How would you change the design of say, a hammer? I'd challenge you to come up with something that has stood the test of time and remains relevant today (that isn't a rehash of some classic 60's design) I love Italian style but even the new Ferrari and Lambo are going to look dated in 10 years.

The 911 is far from a terrible car, but why must EVERY Porsche be stuck with 1963 styling. Porsche itself has show a forward-thinking design language that could seriously evolve the 911's look. Where is it? MIA!

Why would you title an article like this...the original story link says it's a mule using the current car. Look at the extended rear wheel wells.

The front headlights make the new 911 look like a frog.

Again-God forbid Porsche should ever take a styling risk. What would the world come to. And yet the Porschefiles will drop their hundreds
of thousands on these things. Is this going to become Germanys national symbol? Or should we pray to this idle the 911 god.
