German Prosecutors Go After VW For Tax Evasion After Falsifying C02 Documents
German prosecutors have launched an investigation into suspected tax evasion related to the understating of CO2 levels in Volkswagen Group vehicles that focuses on five VW employees. The employees were not identified.

The prosecutors in Brunswick, near Volkswagen Group's Wolfsburg headquarters, are examining whether VW was responsible for the German government not receiving its due share of automotive taxes after the carmaker understated the CO2 emissions in a large number of its vehicles, many of which were sold in Germany.

Does anyone actually believe that any part of the VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) scandal was perpetrated by five rogue employees? By last count, the estimates were somewhere "around one hundred" and growing. My question is whether VW execs are still carrying "Get Out Of Jail Free" cards.

It always amazes me that when a company, politician or celebrity is exposed how many issues come to the surface when a little light is shined on them. So far we have fraud, misrepresentation, lying, tax evasion. Who knows what the next ten shoes to fall will be.
