Which MISSING Options Or Features On An All-New Vehicle Would Be A Deal Breaker For You To Purchase?
As I've said numerous times here on AutoSpies, making an automotive purchase is a big deal. Hell, that's why this very site exists. To help you make what's considered the second largest purchase in a household — the largest purchase is the house.

If you're fortunate enough to have the coin to pick up a set of all-new wheels, we're pretty sure you're going to want it your way. That means auto manufacturers have to put together a robust variety of options and features to appeal to as many buyers as possible.

Some automakers do it a la carte style while others force you into a variety of packages to help them manage inventory better.

Having said that, the Agents were doing some thinking on this Black Friday: which MISSING options or features on an all-new vehicle are a deal breaker for YOUR purchasing decision?

For some we're sure it's a panoramic sunroof, for others it may be carbon fiber bucket seats. We're interested in hearing from you! Let us know in the comments below!

Will never buy another premium vehicle without full active cruise.

Heated rear seats, premium (good sounding) sound system, one touch up/down for all windows, at least xenon headlights or better, adjustable steering wheel for height and rake, I really like the ability to have cool outside air blow directly on me while having warm air blow on my feet, almost all older BMWs had this ability but not sure if they all do now.

All I need for my car are: strong powertrain, great/solid handling, nice wheels, performance tires, premium audio, A/C, navigation, nice design and quality materials.. Honestly, I can go without anything else.

Heads up display showing speed, revs and gear you are in. Once you have had this option which lets you never take your eyes off the road (particularly when driving fast) you will always want it. Never looking down is safer, faster more engaging.

Love the HUD - what a fantastic feature! I'm a gadget freak so I get all the available options when I buy a new car. Some of my favorites are: massaging seats, radar cruise, top of the line sound system, night vision, led headlights, adjustable suspension, biggest available sunroof... None of these things are indispensable but they make me smile and nod and think... money well spent. I truly enjoy them.

HUD, an exceptional stereo, and a manual transmission

No kidding!!! I really wish a manual transmission was optional in every vehicle.

Buyers that have to have this or that or else they won't buy are music to a dealer's ears because they have ceded some of their negotiating power. Demanding to have exactly what you want just makes you look like a Davey or Daisy Drama, and yes dealers laugh with glee at such folks.

These days cars tend to come well equipped and others tend to have options for the lazy. While adaptive cruise control is nice, it is for the driver who is too lazy to deal with changing road conditions. Similarly massaging seats are for the driver who is too lazy to make a stretch break, but hey, if you gotta have it, we'll make sure to find it for you.

The cars in my garage are all on short-term leases, so it was strictly an off-the-lot choice.

I would want the ability to delete crap to be quite honest.

Must have a good lumbar support, lack of it kills the car for me, no matter how good otherwise.

Agree. Seats are a deal breaker for me.

Wow, for all the comments I see on here I'm surprised no one has said "manual transmission". Guess it really isn't a feature most people want.

Automatics with paddles are that good in some cases. Ferrari seems to think so.

They can't be given away at dealerships, even Porsche stores.

Great though if you are looking used. If you're sharp, you'll score a manual Porsche for 10k less than pdk minimum.

There really is no reason to go with a manual unless there is no other choice. I love playing with a manual--believe me--but the writing is on the wall.

It is unfortunate the vast majority no longer car for a manual, however a manual will give you that last bit of satisfaction and control. A manual gearbox and clutch are not just about selecting the next gear you want but also about how you select that next gear. You can use a clutch to do a lot of things that you just don't get in an automated manual. Maybe you want to slip that clutch just a tad coming out of a tight damp corner or release it a tad slower when downshifting etc... I certainly hope that some manufacturers continue to offer manuals for years to come (looking at you BMW and Porsche).

as a person with a car sickness , since i get out of my car leases every year it seems , i can't get a car that uses banks that stay on your credit once you swap out of the lease.
basically i can't get a new porsche, audi, infiniti, nissan, acura. theres no way i can finish a 36 month lease.

Hill start assist for manual transmissions. It's insane this isn't standard on any manual in the U.S. except for the Subaru WRZ STI and the Mini. Aside from the obvious pain that comes with driving a manual in traffic, I think it's the dreaded hill-start that is by far the scariest thing about owning a manual transmission and probably the reason why nobody wants one anymore.
