Volvo Takes A Page Out Of The XC90's INTERIOR Playbook For The All-New S90 — You Dig It?
In my previous thread I discussed how we've been now presented with the all-new Volvo luxury sedan, the S90. While we've seen Volvo undergo a metamorphosis on the outside, what about the inside?
No duh!
Volvo S90
As expected, the S90 keeps Volvo's minimalist approach in tact. And, as we would have predicted, Volvo has largely kept its interior design from the all-new XC90. That means it's a rather sophisticated and well executed interior cabin.
It's pretty hard to miss Sensus smack dab in the center stack and it's very obvious that the optional crystal shifter will also make a repeat appearance.
So, what do you think?
Has Volvo built a nice enough interior space that it will have you swaying from the big three Germans and Lexus? Are you digging it?

Looks good (too bad the exterior doesn't look as good). But it may be a bit too minimalist.

That's what I like the most about it. Clean, modern with a minimum of fuss.

Interior is nice. But why does the exterior look like an Oldsmobile with a Buick front end?

Looks like a low-rent Oldsmobile interior from the 90s.

Looks great, much better then E-Class, reminds me (sort of) the interior of current QP GTS.

Just like the XC90 which is selling better than its predecessor, but its sales are still pretty dismal.
Volvo = New SAAB because Geely got it wrong.
Geely should have taken the Volvo brand down market as a Toyota/Ford/Honda level brand and used Volvo's engineering might and Geely sourcing from China to make an amazing Chinese mainstream brand.
Volvo is not premium.
Volvo has never been premium.

If you've ever had to live and commute in moose territory before, you already know that the best moose detection you got is the person sitting next to you. And they're probably fkng with their phone by the time you come up on one while doing 130 kph in the middle of nowhere trying to get to work.
....and a car is the last vehicle you want to be in when you hit one.
