Remember The BMW i8 Spyder We Told You About Last Week?  Expect It To Debut Next Month At CES

A convertible version of the BMW i8 is in the pipeline, with a concept set for the Consumer Electronics Show in January

A convertible BMW i8 Spyder concept will go on display at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2016, and a production model is likely to follow.

We've already seen a concept version of the i8 Spyder - it was revealed at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, two years before the i8 coupe even went on sale. We expect that the CES concept will be rather different, with a three-year gap giving plenty of scope for improvement.

The few hardtops that I've seen seem to always be driven by smug-looking hedge fund mgmt. types, resembling Martin Shkreli. The photo further emphasizes the target market.

Waste of time, they should have focused on a hotter version with more range and more power.
