SPIED: With Mercedes' All-New E-Class SEDAN Is On The Way, FIRST Shots Of The All-New E Coupe Hit The Web
This week has been a busy one for Mercedes-Benz fans. That's because the company dropped a bomb on us when it released the very first official images and information about the all-new E-Class set to debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS).

And, frankly, I got so wrapped up in the noise that I forgot one thing: there's also a coupe variant.

Whoops!

What reminded me of the coupe were all-new spy shots of the next-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe captured as it was undergoing testing abroad. As you can see she's covered up quite good and even sporting what we believe to be a fake butt.

Considering the direction the three-pointed star has gone for its all-new sedan, we expect the E Coupe to receive a similar, sleek and swoopy treatment for its much sexier sibling.

...The spy shots show a very heavily disguised car and Mercedes has grafted on a bulky boot to hide the rear end. The production car is likely to be a lot smoother and curvier, following the same route as the S-Class and C-Class Coupe. Down the sides, the rear windows are camouflaged but we'd expect the car to go without B-pillars, making for a sleeker profile than the saloon...

Looks more like an evolution of the current coupe, and not a S and C-coupe clone. But it also doesn't look much larger than the new C-coupe, which may be a mistake.

I fear it will have the saggy diaper look Mercedes so loves. The basic proportions look great.

Can't tell the diff betwn a CLA,C,E, or S-Class.

BENZ STOP BUILDING THE CHEAPER CLA AND C.

My understanding is it will not be a coupe version of the sedan but another model based off the C platform. I'd prefer a true coupe version ala W124 which is still a spectacular car!
