SPIED: The All-New Lincoln Continental's INTERIOR Gets EXPOSED Before Its #NAIAS Debut — Do YOU Like What You See?
It seems like only yesterday we were waxing poetic about the then all-new Lincoln Continental Concept as it made its big debut in the Big Apple. Now we're eagerly anticipating the arrival of the production model.

As much as we loved the concept, we know there will be something missing when it becomes real. Unfortunately, it may be too much.

Thanks to some excellent spy photographs care of Brian Williams, we're seeing the interior of the all-new Continental. If you were hoping for something truly extraordinary, you may want to reel it in a bit. That's because the all-new Lincoln's interior space isn't going to be revolutionary — at least from what we see in these all-new images.

From what I can see there appears to be a rather Ford-esque feel to this interior with the three-spoke steering wheel and array of steering wheel controls. The center stack is dominated by a large infotainment screen and beneath that are a variety of the typical HVAC controls. It actually reminds me a bit of the Ford Fusion and the Chrysler 200 — specifically that lower center stack/console area.

Personally, I was hoping for something a bit more stylized and something a bit more glitzy. If this is the real deal, the all-new Lincoln Continental may be a let down. And, if I am honest, that's a shame.

I like the "traditional American values" approach

The only interesting part is the lower half of the center stack/console. And that's just an American take on the A8. The rest is generic American-rental-car chic. The position of the gear selects is horrid. Considering the production model lost its rear fender bulges, rendering the exterior pretty normal and actually very reminiscent of the first MKZ vs anything with any design flair, this vehicle won't be anything but Lincolns' own Chrysler 300.

Look a little closer. Fender bulges are still there.

They are not nearly as pronounced as the concept, at least from what I've seen.

Dang! This is certainly a let down as my hopes were sky high. Could be the interior of a high end pick up truck. Of course I'll reserve judgement until the official reveal in Detroit but going ONLY by this pic, it isn't in the same league as the CT6 or G90. That gorgeous exterior - well, that's another story!

I like most of it. I think Lincoln should move to the mini column shifter like Mercedes.

Was this Lincoln Continental designed in year 2004? It certainly looks at least a decade behind the times. It looks like an old highway patrol cruiser inside and out.
