VIDEO: Have YOU Been Interested In The All-New Volvo S90? Check It Out In This EXTENSIVE Walkaround
If there's one thing that caught me off guard recently, it's how much excitement there's been over the all-new Volvo S90. I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way but "excitement" and Volvo never really went together.

I mean, sure there was Polestar and the P1800, but aside from that I wouldn't characterize this brand as a representation of the automotive world's heartbeat.

But judging from the amount of love the all-new S90 sedan has been getting from you, the Spies, Volvo has done something right. And while I've shared with you many pictures until this point, I really want to share with you an excellent walkaround video of the all-new Volvo.

You may want to turn mute on as these fellas are speaking what I'd guess is Swedish or German but it certainly is a nice, in-depth look at Volvo's latest sedan.

I think this car looks great - especially on the inside. Hope it does very well for Volvo!

Ingress to the back seats looked cramped. It's a pleasant but dull car.

What a great car! It will seize market share in a segment that will become increasingly popular in the next 5 years - (a) rich people who want to fly under the radar - the same people who flocked into Lexuses in the 1990's and (b) Subaru-driving tree-huggers who are getting too old and too rich to drive a Subaru.

Volvo is going to hit this one out of the park. However, they NEED to sell an AWD and Long Wheel Base version right out of the gate. The version we see here appears to be larger than a 5-series/A6/E-Class but not quite as big as an S-Class. There is a big "tweener" market between the E and the S that this will nail, as long as its LWD and AWD.

By the way, I don't think the back seat and/or the back seat ingress/egress is tight - its just that the reviewer is a 7 foot tall Swedish guy.

This is going to do great.

@mre30 assuming your crystal ball is accurate in the surprising and sudden emergence of an all-new automotive segment and assuming no crack pipe was involved when you looked into the crystal ball, there are other low-profile sedans that will be better namely the Genesis twins.

Too bad nobody came to save Saab also :(

SCAB was running on decades-old designs when GM bought them. They were even then teetering financially. When GM bought them, a sigh of relief was heard across Sweden because people assumed jobs would be saved. Granted GM was cluelessly inept in modernizing the company. The tie-in with Subaru could have been brilliant IF Subaru's entire line had been repurposed, with bespoke styling, and marketed a rung higher than Subaru.

Arguably, Subaru is right now what SAAB and Volvo were in their heyday i.e.near-premium products that appeal to people with education and money.

Too bad that Volvo never got the memo that it's not a premium brand.
