UAW Sues Volkswagen For Refusing To Recognize Newly Formed Workers Union
The UAW said it filed charges against Volkswagen AG, claiming the company is refusing to enter into collective bargaining for a portion of workers at its assembly plant in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The charges were filed with the National Labor Relations Board on Monday, the UAW said today.

On Dec. 4, more than 70 percent of the 161 skilled trades workers at the VW plant voted to join the UAW. There are about 1,450 auto assembly workers at the plant.

First VW wants the union then it does not want the union. Bold prediction: the Chattanooga plant will close and be sold to the Chinese.

Agree that plant will be sold because of dieselgate or major reduction in employment will take place at plant. VW employs twice as many people as Toyota but generates less sales revenue. To cut costs to meet dieselgate expenses VW cannot fire people in Germany and will look to sell US plant or fire as many workers as possible.

It would be sad for the folks in Chattanooga to get that plant only to lose it 5 years later. The truly pathetic UAW is such a cancer, good grief 112 people out of 1450 employees and the NLRB will probably rubber stamp the suit as the DemonCraps have been paid off by the UAW. The indecisiveness of VW, truly astounding and pathetic.

VW was 100% pro-union when their Fourth Reich ambitions to overtake Toyota drove them. Now that they have gotten their butts kicked, all of a sudden they are against the union. Hypocrites.

The UAW was partially responsible for the decline and fall of the Westmoreland plant and here we go again.
