I joke because of the absurdity of it all at least that was my intention.

Prostitution--because it is illegal--is devastating to teenagers because that's where it usually begins. The scourge of prostitution has impacted my life.

My mother died HIV+ and addicted to meth two "accomplishments" she achieved by making money the old-fashioned way. Her parents were abusive alcoholics and she was dead from birth in their care.

Google "Lords of Bakersfield" by father was a prosti-boy back then who had everything the men wanted and they had the cocaine he cherished. By all accounts should be dead. These days, he is a recovering meth addict with 6 years clean and his HIV is undetectable. He is a very successful car salesman down in the Palm Springs area.

I actually wrote a long, scathing response to AGENT009's post. I ripped him a new asshole and eviscerated him. Then I realized that he did not post it to anger me, so I deleted the post and went with humor...lost on TheSteve who is one of my favorite people here.

I'm a semi-far-right Republican and a devout converted Catholic, but I'd legalize prostitution in a heartbeat and bring regulations to it. Maybe I want to save my parents after the fact because at 12 (mother) and 14 (father) they became bodies to be used in exchange for cash. Foolish, yes I know.

Do I think it's right to go to a prostitute? AW HELL NO! BUT people do. Because I am concerned about HIV addiction as well as the spread of STIs, I know that the "just say no" and moralization approaches do not work.

Matt the moron - - - save me the sob story. We already know your parents' drug addiction fried your brain leading to your Bi-polar disorder. And stop with the devout Catholic crap, you are no such thing and was all a ruse to marry your wife and be accepted into her family. Real Catholics understand compassion and acceptance of others. Prostitution in the Netherlands is not the same as prostitution in the U.S. The Dutch have Unions for prostitution, not to mention their welfare system already provides medical care from taxes. This is just another job for these people.

Not necessarily hookers, You have the choice to cash or some sex as payment....lol. But some one that is willing to pay with sex, most likely is a cheap person.

Yonder7: I know someone who paid for Honda mats with sex. She wasn't cheap, or a hooker. She just placed less value on sex than the cost of Honda mats. Speaking solely for myself, I feel if someone values sex in similar terms as Honda mats, I'd rather not participate in that transaction.
