A source inside the Tesla factory reveals that Model X production is underway and “every other car off the line is the X”, according to a recent story from CleanTechnica. With production volume expected to be between 1,600 – 1,800 cars per week come 2016, Tesla’s Model X electric crossover might make up 50% of those vehicles being rolled off the production line. I'm still waiting for the price point to drop to somewhere between the Acura MDX and Mercedes GLS450, fully equipped.

Until that happens, this Model X is a no-go in the market.

I am also waiting until my son gets old enough to dodge out of the way when I open the Falcon Doors in a rain storm, so he doesn't drown when all the water on the roof pours onto his head as the doors open. Waterboarding anyone?

Was on the wait list 2 years ago. There were over 6000 people in front of me on the list. I cancelled my reservation after a year. I'm glad I did because the finished product is funny looking. I'm sure it drives fine and have great utilization of its interior space. But I just can't get over the looks.
