It would be silly to say that every BMW M car that comes around is not highly anticipated. But, with the all-new M2 this one has got BMWphiles chomping at the bit.

If it weren't for the extraordinary 2011 1M, this wouldn't be the case.

Now with the official details out in the open and the car on its way to the 2016 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) for its global debut, we're getting juiced up too. It's a lovefest and we've yet to even see the thing in the flesh.

Having said that, our friends at Bimmerpost unearthed the all-new M2's brochure.

While the information doesn't seem to have yield anything new, it is nice to check out the M2 in new photos with the 1M and E30 M3, in addition to seeing how BMW is positioning this M car.

And I cannot wait to kill one at the track in a Mustang costing almost half as much. The 2 Series like the 1 Series before it is a cramped, deeply compromised car. Spend the money on a 4 Series and get something more worth the money.

what's more impressive is driving a slower Miata faster than a Mustang 350. Or just driving the same car faster than the next person. Skills are where it's at, not the hardware/car. There was a Top Gear episode where Sabine, almost drove a Ford Transit faster than Clarkson in a proper car on the 'Ring.
