RUMOR: The All-New Top Gear Is Headed For A Head-On Collision — The BBC And Chris Evans May Not Have The Best Synergy
I'll never forget a life lesson preached to me by a basketball coach.

At the time I was playing for an upcoming AAU team and we had finally been invited to play in one of the nation's biggest basketball tournaments. NBA scouts, the most well-known college coaches and anyone who was anyone would be there. After going to the event and some teammates made some poor choices I recall what the team's coach said: "Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it."

That seems to be the case with the U,K.'s BBC. After years of Jeremy Clarkson creating problems with his words, the BBC finally gave him the axe after an incident with a Top Gear producer. This led to the trio leaving and moving on with Amazon.

The Beeb then decided that it would be best to hire Chris Evans to take over Top Gear and start anew. The only problem is that the situation seems to have turned into a major cluster_ _ _ _.

The line up is pathetically stupid and that's where it ends. The BBC got it wrong. They should have docked Clarkson some pay and kept on going. The BBC defecated on themselves while Clarkson, Hammond, and May made money.

If they had gone with Simon Cowell, Gordon Ramsey, Graham Norton, they would have been on to something.

Cowell, Ramsey and Norton are probably all smart enough to know they couldn't fill those shoes, and would have rejected any offer.

I don't have any sympathy for the BBC here. Or for Evans. Honestly, I rather the show crash and burn and just fail gloriously so the BBC turns their attention to some thing new, rather than carry on as a lukewarm pretender to whatever Amazon has in store.

How much do you want to bet that the BBC will throw out a nuisance lawsuit as soon as Clarkson, Hammond, and May debut their new show? The BBC screwed themselves.
