Audi Sales Surpass 200,000 Units In 2015 - Sales Up 11.1% In December
Audi reported that its U.S. sales in 2015 increased 11.1% from the previous annual record in 2014 to 202,202 vehicles sold. December 2015 sales increased 6.0% to 20,399 vehicles.

December 2015 represented the best-ever December U.S. sales results in Audi history, as well as the 60th consecutive month of record sales for Audi in the U.S. The previous December record was set in 2014 with sales of 19,238 vehicles. 2015 marks the sixth consecutive year of record sales for Audi in the U.S. and the first time the brand has achieved annual sales of more than 200,000 vehicles.

“The power of the Audi brand is shown by passing 200,000 in U.S. sales five years ahead of schedule,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “But we will not rest. We have more growth, more leading-edge technologies and exciting additions to our product line-up in sight.”

Sales of Audi SUV models remained robust through the end of the sales year. The Audi Q3 and Q5 both achieved all-time record sales in the month of December, with the Q3 posting a 66.6% increase over December 2014 and the Q5 posting a 33.1% increase over December 2014. Year-to-date sales for the Audi luxury SUVs were strong, with an overall increase of 30.4% for the Audi Q3, Q5 and Q7 models combined.

The Audi A3 family also continued to perform well, with a 20.9% sales increase for the month of December and a 61.7% increase for the year.

Audi Certified pre-owned vehicles also increased to record levels for the year. December resulted in 4,286 CPO vehicles sold, which brought the annual CPO sales for 2015 to an all-time high of 48,608 vehicles, a 3.4% increase over the previous year.

Audi holds the longest running monthly record sales streak in the premium car market according to a competitive sales report from MotorIntelligence.com.

The Audi Q5 is one of Audi's bread 'n butter models, with the 3.0 diesel being especially popular. According to my local dealer, Q5 sales have remained consistent throughout Dieselgate, with customers either switching their diesel order to gas, or choosing to wait until the diesels start rolling again.

The numbers being reported on this page suggest that Audi has remained relatively unscathed by Dieselgate, though I'm sure that year-end incentives are helping to boost unit sales numbers.

But they would need to increase sales 50% to catch up to BMW/Mercedes. They're barely better than Cadillac and Cadillac is savaged for being dead in the water.

Go look at an Audi lot vs. a Cadillac lot, and you'll see a different story. Where I'm at, we are low on Q5's empty on Q7's until the 17's come later this week, A7's we are empty, low Q3's, low A6's.

Audi doesn't over produce any of the lines. Now at Cadillac loaded with inventory that they struggle to sale (minus the Escalade)

And who cares who sells the most cars, as long as you making profit and steady growth.

Over the last decade, Audi sales have grown twice as fast Benz in the U.S. It's only a matter of time...

To Aspy11, those blogs might be reporting based on the DSR, which, because of 2 fewer selling days this year, almost all brands are down from last year.

To runninglogan1, I don't believe that Audi has released global numbers yet.

I'm usually the last person to defend anything 009 posted, but I think you may be reaching here. Audi, itself, does not post the DSR. If you go to the official Audi site where 009 obtained that sales chart, Audi doesn't include the DSR (neither does Benz or BMW for that matter). Additionally, the 11.1% isn't necessarily fictitious as it does accurately reflect the YTD variance over last year's total.
