#NAIAS: LEAKED! IF This Is Your FIRST Look At The Production Lincoln Continental, We Want To Know: Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN?
Just the other day I ran a story asking if the all-new Lincoln Continental would cause more damage to either Cadillac or Chrysler. We got some interesting feedback from the Spies, but now we've got something even better.

According to a Ford forum, a super low-resolution image has leaked online of what's purported to be the production Lincoln Continental.

As to be expected with any all-new vehicle that's transitioning from concept to reality, some elements will get lost. If automaker's produced every concept exactly as it showed up at the initial debut, all autos would cost $250,000 a unit. So, there's some dilution.

Connecting the dots a bit, you'll remember we ran an interior shot of the all-new Lincoln Continental as well.

So, taking in what you're seeing we're a bit curious: IF what we're seeing are accurate depictions of the production Continental would you give it a thumbs UP or DOWN?

Too little too late, looks like a Lincoln Fusion

Agreed. Totally watered down from the original concept. What a shame.

That mesh grille is reminding me of Jaguar(at least in the photo) which to me is not a good thing. I hope in person it won't but if it does people will only view this as an unoriginal cheap knockoff.

Well, this trim level looks more like a competitor to the Charger not 300 or anything "upscale". But, will wait for the official unveiling.

with all the competition out there how does this stuff get to this stage ? It looks like something from the 80's. How do they expect to capture someone's attention when there is so much choice ? blows my mind

Everyone, if you go to lincoln.com and click on "future vehicles" the vehicle on the right is the 2017 lincoln mkz. The picture is exactly the same. This is a bogus article and someone should have done their homework before posting this.

So, I just went over to the site and closely examined the image.

They're not the same image. So, that means someone either modified the MKZ image with some Continental cues or this is the real deal and they photographed both cars in silver in the same studio.

Look at the mirrors, wheels, front valence that's different, shoulder line, etc.

This doesn't strike me as being that different from the concept (other than the wheels--which I never seem to pay attention to anyway--and the chrome trim at the bottom of the front clip). But if that is so, why am I feeling so blah about this photo, and the recent shots of the interior, compared to the concept? The concept really caught my eye, but this "production" photo doesn't excite me at all.

The venom being expressed is 100% from hateful people who want Lincoln to die.

looks like a Taurus

It's a fine looking car, but not especially innovative or different and not enough to make even a small dent in a crowded marketplace.

I don't think this is a real pic anymore. I went to the Lincoln site, looked at the MKZ and the Conti Concept. The lights on the image above are not as complicated as the ones on the lesser production MKZ. The car above is likely a mock up without all the bright work or likely a lame attempt at a sports model. It's likely a bad photo shop.

Hell has frozen over. I agree.

So, this a.m. I was comparing it against the spy shots and this looks staggeringly close. I stand my ground with my comment above.

So last night I looked at Burlapps page and he has official pics. The production model has the lights of the concept. The only changes were the chrome at the bottom, the air dam and minor tail light changes. Still waiting on interior shots though.
