#NAIAS: It's One Thing To See The Lexus LF-FC Studio Shots, It's Another To See Agent 001's REAL-LIFE Pics!
The 2016 Detroit Auto Show has crept up on us in a big way. To be honest, the Agents weren't too blown away with what was shown yesterday morning. But, my oh my, did the afternoon of day one pick up.
One of the vehicles leading this BIG push was the all-new Lexus LF-FC concept.

Lexus LF-FC
HERE!
Originally seen for the first time at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Show, we're seeing it in the flesh for the first time. As we've been saying since its introduction, this is likely a good indicator on what the next-gen LS flagship will look like. For quite a bit of time Lexus has been sure to push the design boundaries and while cars like the S-Class, 7-Series and A8 look rather conservative, this is far from it.
From this writer's perspective, the LF-FC looks as though the current-gen LS hooked up with the LC 500 and then this was popped out.
To say that we're excited to see a large luxury sedan that pushes conventional thinking would be an understatement. That said, take a look at what the L brand has cooked up and let us know if you're on board!

In your face! This I believe will be a big hit with the younger wired generation...which is exactly I suspect what Lexus had in mind.

This looks like something out of "Transformers". Not something the older generations, Lexus's current buyers will like. It will be interesting to see if their strategy works.

It's nice, but it will depend on what Lexus applies this design language to. The steep angle of the windshield would never make it to production in a sedan configuration. Change the angle more upright and this has the makings of a pretty stunning LS replacement. Change the angle just a bit more upright and this has the makings of Lexus to get into the CLS/Panamera/A7/6GC arena.

I'm one of those 'older' current Lexus owners who's also had a Porsche and BMW in the garage. If they make this, I'd buy it in a flash. And Pugproud might be right as my 29 yr old SF based tech son thought it was pretty hot too.

That front end is the ugliest Lexus front end design yet and the ugliest front end of any vehicle. Please completely redo that gigantic predator monster inspired grill, tone it down and not make it not so hideous and Lexus will have a winner. The rear needs serious help too and please get rid of the ugly looking tail lights.

This car as is is just right for the ghetto tastes and rappers like Kanye West who like this kinda gaudy styling but styling toned down a bit it will still appeal to them.

Part GranTurismo, part Biturbo, part FF... And part genuine Lexus. Sort of like it. Need to see in the flesh but Lexus seems to be waking-up... Or we're all adapting, adopting.

I'm happy they are going their own direction. If they copied off the german's, like in years past everyone would be slamming them. I think now they will set the tone for the world.....
