Does anyone know if it will be introduced at the L.A. show, or later? Audi would make quite a splash if they revealed both the R8 and A5 within two months.

The 5-series is the ugliest car currently produced by any luxury company.

Of course, Logical, owns one. He has the eye to find the ugly ones it seems.

So like 1.2 million ppl around the world who buy a new BMW every year r into ugly cars aye... i think stats dont back up ur thesis... i doubt any of u have even been in a european car cause ur always on here posting the real ppl like me that do r on here once a month overwise i enjoy driving my M5 and 750li and my wife loves her ford territory (great car u yanks wuld love it) sooooooo stop lieing cause if u were serious bout owning these cars ud be at work like the rest of us that can afford them..... btw that car isnt good looking compared to the M6 or the new 3er coupe and pllllllease the Q7 vs the X5 hahahahaha the A6 is ugly the A8 is very nice but i prefer the 7 series has more road presence which is wat ur after wen u buy a 300000 sedan (aussie price) and the 3 series is much nicer then the boring old A4.... TT kills the Z4 for looks.. not much else i personally dont like the ausi tt interior and the A8 interior is good.... wuldnt say its better then the 7 series or light years ahead like u freaks think.. again uve probs never been in any of these cars

The A5 will have absolutely nothing in common with the Jetta. It will be built on a completely new Audi modular platform that will serve basis for the next generaton A4/A6/A8. It will have lots on neat tricks.

come on now, give BMW some cradit, if it wasn't for BMW ..there will be no RS4 or is500, and that's the truth.

I don't hate BMW, but the 5 series is far from a beautiful or a good looking automobile. The technology is good, the M5 does look relatively sporty, but the 5 series is not a pretty vehicle.

I don't know about you. but for me looks good..

I like the 5 more than the boring A6, but i think that the new beemers and for all the 5, is to cold inside, they just dont have the nice interior where you felt welcome. The e39 was like the e46 so nice inside. I love my e46. The back of the e90 does not look nice too.. but the coupe is hot all over.

I tend to agree there the 5 series is weak inside... bmw really needs to improve its interiors the 7 series and x5 aside... personally need less black more real metal which creates luxury feel more wood in better places instad of just sliced across the dash better looking material qualities there just doesnt look it and plain and simple a more luxurious design.... the beige interiors all look pretty good but the dark stark and black ones rnt nice and the red M5 one isnt as nice as i thort itd be... the red up the dash soesnt look luxury its looks cheap... BTW the M5 has the greatest road presences its simply beautiful and fericous at the same time i love it

A lot of people think the TT also looks great. This A5 just looks even better.

the 5 series touring looks a lot better than the saloon.

AussieBimmerRep: in europe Audi outsels BMW, and thats the market where most buyers acctually know something about cars.

People that think Audis are rebadged VW can either:
-get glasses
-look at an audi once
-or get used to calling VWs and Audis rebadged PORCHES

BTW: nothing new about the A5 here, just a bad photoshop of the new TT

rebadged porches i dont recall anything looking familiar or the same as a porches.........

porsche has a 25% stake in vw group, which has a controlling stake in audi.
audi is a SEPERATE COMPANY from vw, unlike lexus/toyota or mercedes/chrysler.
audi could be bought out by another company, IF vw wanted to sell it. i could buy shares and then audi could be part of rupert automotive group.
so yes, audis are rebagded porsches.

First of all, it's covered with plastic, so how the hell can you really see how it looks? Secondly, this is ironic, you can't even see the four-ring emblem.

And the side profile is similar to the new 3 coupe's, so I guess you hate that, too?
