Lexus Debuts One Of The MOST Gorgeous Cars Ever At #NAIAS And Within Hours Third Parties Try To 'Douche' Its Beauty
It was only hours ago that we saw the Lexus LC 500 for the first time. While we thought it was going to look quite good thanks to the LF-LC concept, we had NO idea it was going to look nearly identical to it.

Simply put, the all-new LC 500 is one of the most true production vehicles that lived up to the greatness of the concept it was based on. We wager it may be one of the HOTTEST cars to debut at the NAIAS event.

BUT, with the good comes the bad.

It's only been hours since the LC 500 rocked the Detroit Auto Show and aftermarket tuners are already dreaming up how they can modify the LC. After seeing one example, it's clear that the problem is that the LC looks stunning in OE form. To us, the black and bronze example put together by VIP Auto takes the car down a peg or two. Perhaps several.

Take a look and see what we mean, below. Let us know in the comments below: has this LC been 'douched up?'

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think this was an ugly car from the start.

A BMW would not have that cow catcher Grill - so yes - it might actually look better if BMW made it!. Fact is - the Buick Avista is far better looking. and there are lots of cars in that class that are as well.

Some day - Lexus will get rid of that cow-catcher grill - and make a good looking car - that day has not happened yet.

BMW needs a cow catcher grille to stave off the dullness of their lazy designs.

No, the BMW would have a pig's snout grille.

Not my cup of tea but it gives you an idea of what this car will look like in black - beautiful.

Looks like a 12 year old's fantasy car that someone aged 40 who actually might have the kind of money to buy it would be embarrassed to drive.

i'm embarrassed when i spent money on a 2009 bmw 7 and 2014 bmw 3 and both vehicles died on me in the middle of rush hours.... nothing like people honking and yelling..."get that fucking kraut pos out the way"

'Schlonged' is more befitting.

Looks very familiar...the side profile reminds me a lot of the Aston Martin Vanquish. well imo

Obviously, I'm in the minority here, but I think this treatment works for this design. There is so much over-the-top "design" elements that a toned-down approach to the body paint and trim works, while still maintaining the integrity of the original design.

Aftermarket changes do not always improve the look of the original car. The LF-LC will be a huge success for Lexus.

Car lines are elegant but the Lexless front grill is hideous and not safe.
I want to see this car parallel parked on the streets of NYC or Chicago.

Any japanese car will be bought up by a few tasteless folks and be 'riced up'. happens to all cars but a bit more on japanese cars...

Lights are nice, rest is ho hum.

I do like how a lot of these companies are finally coming out with LED designs that are unique to their brand without ripping off BMW's.
