Another indication that we are headed toward a future of autonomously driven race series with emphasis on manufacturer's technical capabilities not drivers. Once again "What wins on Sunday will sell on Monday" returns. Quite frankly I believe the racing may be more exciting certainly in F1 which today is a no passing race series. Computers will calculate when, how, where and risk/reward of passing while other computers will be calculating how to stop them. The benefit to fans is more exciting races with greater risk taking when driver safety no longer an issue. Time will tell.

If the race is autonomously driven, then I'm not interested. The rules in virtually all racing series ensures that the cars are nearly identical in parameters, therefore the DRIVERS are what make the race NOT the software.
