#NAIAS: MORE Pictures Of The Next-Gen Lexus LS...er...I Mean LF-FC. Is It A STUD or DUD?
Although we already featured the Lexus LF-FC and its appearance at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS), Agent 001 just couldn't resist. He shot another round of photos of the dark blue L brand car.
Perhaps this is a good thing. That's because I think it's time we get down to brass tacks and hear the real deal from the Spies.

We want to take your temperature. We want to know:
Is the Lexus LF-FC concept a STUD or DUD?
As of now we have absolutely no clue as to how serious this may be as a next-gen LS. Considering the age of the current-gen product, we'd assume that the company would be preparing a successor. In addition, given that the company just dropped the LC 500 that was nearly identical to the concept, we're wondering how close a production LS would look compared to this concept.

I'd say reproduce the stance faithfully as much as possible, tone down the Prius like tail lights, make the headlights bigger and this would be a powerful reason NOT to buy an S Class.

Sorry - but as long as that grill remains - this will not stop the S-class here.
And NOW - there will be competition from Lincoln - Cadillac - and Buick added - remembering that the LS has the worst back seat of that class car.
I believe that if Lincoln prices its Continental in the same price range as the CT6 - the LS is doomed at the top of the Market - and the LaCrosse will take the lower end Luxury market.

This is not what the next gen LS will look like. It's not practical enough for a large size sedan. Perhaps it's a hint at a 6 GC, CLS, A7 competitor.

Given that they produced the LC500 faithfully, this could become one VERY NICE Lexus. As for the LS, it has nothing to lose by going "out there" for its styling. Lexus' "out there" styling is really paying off. I'm surprised by that and it is growing on me I have to admit.

Change the tail lights, tone down the grill and the tail lights and it will work.

Yet another example indicating that Lexus/Toyota designers must be visually impaired. What else could account for this glaring atrocity???

Lexus of 2016 has become the Acura of 2009 with that poor grille design. No matter how nice the rest of the car looks, that oversized and poorly designed grille will bring the entire car down.

Wow, talk about over designed. Unlike the LC500 which looks fantastic, they should tone this one down for the production model.
