GM Wins First Ignition Switch Lawsuit After Plaintiff Commits Perjury
The first federal trial over General Motors' ignition-switch recall came to an early end today, as the parties said the case has been dismissed.

GM submitted evidence earlier this week that the plaintiff engaged in fraud and perjury.

Indeed you are correct. Let's say a manufacturer builds a million examples of something and they all have a POTENTIAL defect. If they recall the product, there is no injury.

Among those who claim physical injury, we have to look at contributing factors.

Let's say someone died in a Cobalt and they were driving under the influence, the defect in the car is the least for their worries.

Unless and until common sense is placed on the legal system, lawyers will continue to coach clients in search of deep-pockets payouts.
