Apple Car May Suffer Setback As VP Steve Zadesky Leaves Company
Apple VP of Product Design Steve Zadesky, who was believed to be leading Apple's electric vehicle development efforts since 2014, has informed colleagues that he will be leaving the company, according to The Wall Street Journal. He remains at Apple for now.

Zadesky, a former Ford engineer, joined Apple in 1999 and worked on the iPod and iPhone during his 16-year career in Cupertino. He is also named on several U.S. patents and documents related to Liquidmetal, a malleable alloy which Apple owns the exclusive rights to.

I can't wait for the dust to settle on this Apple Car rumor, and discover if in fact Apple is getting into building cars, or whether Apple's denial of this rumor is factually correct. As far as I know, it's just a rumor. What we do know for sure is that Apple is gunning to get a big chunk of the car infotainment market -- that is to sell/license iPhone/iPad-like infotainment systems to car manufacturers.

Does anyone remember the Apple Television rumor that ran for several years, in which lots of folks were certain that Apple was working on their own Apple-branded TV (different from the Apple TV "set-top" box that's been around for about 9 years with 4 generations of upgrades and refinement)?
