REVIEW: New Audi S8 disappoints?

REVIEW: New Audi S8 disappoints?
We can’t fault the imposing styling, unique alloys or beautifully crafted cabin, but the S8 is an enormous machine and it simply hasn’t got the agility to match its performance. With the air-suspension in dynamic mode, the ride is uncomfortably hard, while the steering lacks the feel of a true sports saloon.

They still have to match BMW in some aspects (driving dynamics).

I think Audi is more agile than the S or the 7er, at least on the slalom course it proved to be, but this is suppose to be a luxury sedan, and I agree with them cuz i tested it myself.. the ride is too hard for long trips

Sorry, but you don't buy this kind of car for "steering feel". It's a large sedan. In the aspects that matter most in a car of this price--fit, finish, materials, and overall quality, it blows away the 7.

It's like Audi found one design and just ran with it on all their cars. 2 thumbs DOWN!

Hey I95SPEEDINGTICKETS. Firstly, when u make a comment like that, make sure the S8 is not the only bloody car in the video if not there is nothing to comapre it to, second make sure the commentary is in English since that is the primary language being used on this website so that we might be able to hear the commentator make reference to the 7 and the S Class and how the S8 outhandles them, if it does. Anyway, the S8 is just beautiful, inside and out, never driven it, but in looks, fit and finish both int and ext, it bests the competiotion in my IMO, trust me, i'm a die hard Bimmer fan, but the S8 or A8 is just too beautiful to ignore, the S Class comes next, then the 7, and as usual we always reserve last place for Lexus, hahaha.

British reviews are very biased against German vehicles. Still better than the competition, 750 and S 550 in terms of sporty driving.

Sorry for not warning you guys about the Language however Any Proper Car Driver who has Driven Large RWD vehicles like S-Class or 7-Series will be able to tell Just from the Video Footage that there is no way you could Haul the BMW or MB around like that on a Cold or Snow Covered Road without Mating it to a Tree.

And yet, I still lust for this car.

Some time within the next fifty years, I'd like to own either an S-Cass AMG or an S/RS A8. That would be sweet.

Will-

I feel like a troll doing this, but it's too hard to resist.

"This is nothing new. A stiff, unforgiving ride has been the criticism for the A8 as long as onw can remember. I would imagine that this would not be improved with an S version."

And an overtly-cushy, floaty ride has been the criticism for the LS as long as one can remember. I would imagine that this would not be improved with the LS460. The A8 also has an adaptive suspension- turn it to comfort mode and it will be all better.

Sure a 7 or S can do the same, wintertyres and DSC/ESP, because i can in my BMW. DSC is very good.
By the way the A8 looks nice inside, but not out, all audis looks the same boring way. I dont think MB or BMW is bad inside, the best interior is a matter of taste. No one can tell you that is better than this i got my taste and MY opinion.
I live in Denmark where we are allowed to have our own opinion! Live the free speech...
