#GIMS: LEAKED! The All-New Aston Martin DB11 Gets FULLY EXPOSED And We Get A CONFUSING Look At The Mule's INTERIOR
Hey now! If I haven't made it clear in quite some time, let me refresh you all. One of my favorite brands is Aston Martin.

Does it make the very best automobiles on the road, no, but what it does do is make some of the most enjoyable road-going machines today. Personally, I love the way its vehicles sound and how simple they are.

Big changes are on the horizon though. The DB11 is due up for a 2016 Geneva Motor Show (GIMS) debut and it will be a watershed moment. The DB11 is said to be a true four seater and its engine will not be a 6.0-liter V12. The company has said a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 will be in the DB11.

In addition, from what we've seen so far it's very clear this product is being developed with Mercedes-Benz. While we've seen some spy shots of the DB11 test mule featuring some Mercedes traits and switchgear, it's clear that the steering rack, instrument panel and infotainment system will be lifted from the three-pointed star.

The most revealing image appears to have been snapped as the vehicle was undergoing promotional photos/video for its launch in Geneva. Spied from its hind quarters, it's clearly a departure from Aston's styling as of late. It has a bit of a more sensual look that makes me think there's a Zagato influence here.

Having said that, take a peek below!

...The image was first posted onto Dutch website AutoJunk, but has since been circulated online. It's now been joined by two new images of the car's interior - the first time it's been viewed in an almost completely undisguised state...

...As this latest image and previous, official, spy pictures have shown, Aston Martin has been carrying out final testing on the DB11 before its market launch. Autocar has seen the DB11, the styling of which is notably different from the existing DB9’s, while retaining several core Aston Martin cues...

Looks like a Mercedes parts bin interior. The exterior is hot.

Nice exterior - interior likely just a mock-up for testing, with no relation at all to the actual interior. My take:
(a) All the development money went into the new twin turbo V12.
(b) DB11 completely uses the MB electrical architecture (hence the S-Class instrument binnacle). There will be parts-sharing, but "look and feel" will be different due to easily implemented fonts, colors, and the like thru software changes.
(c) The Aston V-H (vertical-horizantle, creative name, huh?) architecture (i.e. chassis) which has been around since 2004, will stay exactly the same.
(d) The rear seats with be slightly larger but it will most certainly not be a true 4-seater.

As a DB-9 Volante owner, I wish them every success. I finally love my car (it took the dealer 18 months of in-and-out of shop to fix all the stuff that was wrong with it at delivery) but don't think this will be enough of a change to make me move up to the DB11.

The DB-9 is a beautiful, wonderful, analog car, that is a joy to drive, but honestly if you want the same or better performance, just buy a new Camaro - they are fantastic.

Looking good already. At least from that one angle.

Rear looks good, reminds me of recent Porsche styling (Boxster?).
