SPIED: All-New Spy Shots Of The Upcoming Maserati Levante SUV — Good Form?
We've been watching the Maserati Levante undergo research and development for what's starting to feel like an unreasonably long time. That's because we saw the Kubang Concept and we've been waiting for more.

Though we've been bringing you the latest spy shots, not much has been revealed yet.

The vehicle's covered top-to-bottom in camouflage and the Italian automaker has taken the extra step of adding even more classing/camouflage to its roof. Clearly, the company is maskings its roofline for a good reason.

While an executive recently noted the all-new Maserati SUV wouldn't be a four-door coupe, it is look like there's a bit of sloping along the back end of the SUVs roofline.

From what I can tell, it looks like the company is going to continue with the look that's found on the current-gen Ghibli and Quattroporte. That means a large front grille, squinty headlights and a sensuous body with pronounced hips.

Let's hope it sounds good.

I wonder whether--like the Giulia--it will be introduced to the public 18 months before its on-sale date because engineering isn't complete and then discover that has problems in crash testing.

The real question is - who is going to buy it - by the time it hits production it will already be years out of date

What I find most perplexing is that the Maserati Levantate wasn't pulled from the Jeep Grand Cherokee three years ago.

Fiat couldve made the initial version from the GC platform - at least to whet industry appetites & get consumers hungry for a more "pure" Maserati version we'd be getting (soon?).

Maybe they'll WOW us with an updated/competitive exterior...idk...but I'm not gonna hold my breathe on that. This thing as taken way too long to hit the streets. Fiat doesnt know how to adjust & move on a good idea. Hopefully, their change in corporate structuring will drastically improve how they react to market demands in the future.
