Hmmm is that gonna be new Land Cruiser only for USA, cause it's to big for here in Europe, although our europen Land Cruiser needs at least a facelift!?!

interesting...since when does Toyota put cloth interiors in Land Cruisers? are they going down market? i know, i know, it's a prototype and all...but even test mules and prototypes, especially one this close to production, have full interiors in them.

other than that, nothing special.

Wow i really like this new Land Rover. I can totally see a resemblance to the LR3 and discovery. I hope Ford does not screw this up.

I dont think it looks like a Land Rover, Mitsubishi, Escape, etc. Big surprise, it looks like a Land Cruiser, an update of the same style Land Cruisers have had for some 15 years now.
Whether that's a good or bad thing.....I dont know.
I know there are lotsa Toyota haters here, but their reputation for trucks has been built over 50-60 years, and they obviously dont want to screw it up. So the trucks from the new Tundra to this will be instantly recognizable for what they are, will not make their forebearers seem obsolete, and will continue to cultivate Toyota's strong truck heritage.

...nothing special. Typical generic Japanese design.

I don't think Toyota is going to make a new cruiser; this is probably the new Tundra based Sequoia..

The Landcruiser didn't make much sense as soon as the Sequoia came out, the cruiser is smaller and for the amount of money why wouldn't you get the Lexus version?

I say it's the Sequoia.. :)

It's a little bleh, nothing really overly exciting about it, it's just a little more modern than the current offering.. Not bad, but not revolutionary.

fuzion: The Landcruiser is a legendary vehicle from Toyota. They are not going to discontiue it. Also I believe only the US gets the Sequoia, so a discontiue will leave the rest of the world in the dark without a big suv from Toyota. And in the end this seems too small for a new Sequioa, which will be bigger than the current one.

An information for u all,there is no TOYOTA HIGHLANDER,SEQUOIA,HILUX SURF,4 RUNNER,LEXUS GX470 in Middle EAST and GULf.(OFFICIALLY)
So if at all it's a toyota, then it can be any of the 4(except GX) above mentioned SUVS(NEXT GENERATION).AND NOT THE MIGHTY LAND CRUISER.

AND MANUFACTURES do come to Gulf and ME usaually to check the OFF ROAD abilities/capabilities of their SUVs.And also to do Hot wether testing.

Remember the new BMW X5,porsche cayenne TURBO S..etc,all were spied (BEFORE INTRODUCTION) in DUBAI.

Same way like they go to Sweden for the Extreme cold wether testing.

AND BTW,If u see the fourth pic in the first line left to right,u can see 3 AUDIs parked there.
So possibly it also can be the next generation VW Toureg.
Or the all-new MITSUBISHI PAJERO.

OHCCCCCCCCCCCHHHH
MY MISTAKE.

After seeing the whole pics clearly,IT's A TOYOTA.
THERFORE,I think it's the NEXT GENERATION HIGHLANDER,SEQUOIA,HILUX SURF,4 RUNNER, MOST probably
but yeah also can be Land Cruiser, but it's heavily camouflagged.

Germany has no equal to the land cruiser it is legendary & please do not tell me about the MB GL only available in europe. so BMW, AUDI & MB fans shut up you only started to compete in the last eight years X5,MLTOUREG,Q7 because it is lucrative.

What I can say about the photos is: This truck does not look like it is styled for the USA market. This truck looks like it is made for the Asian/Middle-Eastern market (not by just looking at the plate, but the styling cues).

This looks like it could be the next gen of the Land Cruiser.. Look at the side profile It looks like a Land Cruiser. One thing about Land Cruisers they have always had a similar profile and look at the ground clearance.. Its a Toyota because it has the current Toyota lack of style in design. Can't see it being the next Sequoia because its not close enough in design of the next gen truck.. just my thoughts

I would say that it is the new Land Crusier. It would be a GXL Model for Australia with cloth seats (standard). We should expect to see it launched at the Tokyo auto show in a few weeks. I like it with the exception of the back lights. Hopefully in real life, the back lights look better.
