Buyer Beware: Study Reveals 20% Of All Vehicles On The Road Have Outstanding Recalls
Nearly one in five vehicles on the US roads has to go back to dealers for all kinds of safety repairs, according to used-car history provider Carfax.

Lately, not a single week goes by without an announcement from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regarding a recall campaign. There are all kinds of issues, from some curious ones such as Dodge Charger’s wheel chocks to Takata’s massive airbag crisis which is affecting around 24 million cars in the United States only. On these grounds, it is no wonder that almost 20 percent of cars on roads need repairs caused by these safety actions. According to Carfax, there are more than 47 million cars in the US with open recalls, up 27 percent from a year ago.

It should surprise no one that cars driving around out have unperformed recalls. Sometimes owners are incredibly difficult to get to bring their cars in and other times a recall may exist but not enough parts to do the recalls mandated.
