#GIMS: TEASED! The All-New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet Gets Ready For Primetime
Mercedes-Benz is not sitting back and enjoy its recent success with big-time hits like the CLA-Class, GLA-Class, all-new C-Class and all-new S-Class. The three-pointed star is continuing to push so the brand broadens its domination.

Now we're seeing things like the GLE-Class four-door coupes and the refreshed SLK-Class make an appearance.

But as we're all aware, the C remains a primary entry point for many all-new Mercedes customers. It's critical the company not only keeps it as fresh as possible but offers it in as many form factors as possible. That's exactly what it's doing. While we've seen the CLK-Class and E-Class coupes before, now we're going to see a dedicated C-Class convertible. That means a couple standard variants and a bossy Mercedes-AMG C63 convertible.

Though we've seen a lot of these vehicles undergoing research and development, we haven't seen them fully nude. If you're patient, you'll see them come out from hiding at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show (GIMS).

Check out Mercedes' officially released teasers, below!

...Set to join saloon, coupé and estate versions of the fourth-generation C-Class in an ever-burgeoning Mercedes-Benz line-up, the C-Class Cabriolet has previously been spotted testing in the run-up to its launch. While the car's styling remains similar to that of the C-Class Coupé, a longer rear deck can be seen, as well as a windscreen-mounted air deflector and a deployable wind break. The car's interior will be identical to that of other C-Class models.

The rear-wheel-drive convertible will be offered with the same six-cylinder petrol and four-cylinder diesel engines as the coupé. Included in the line-up will be a C450 Sport model, which will feature a 362bhp twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine and will be capable of reaching 62mph in less than five seconds. A plug-in hybrid model based on the C350e is also planned...

Mercedes way of saying, "for those of you whom wept over the six figure S Class Cabriolet price tag...here's a tissue and your welcome."

I'd love to see a Mercedes SLA. Think Miata with a powerful engine for $35K nicely equipped.

there is the SLK already, and then a nicely equipped Mercedes at 35k? no such thing

I have been waiting for this car for years. The E-Class Cab was just a bit too expensive for what I wanted, and this takes the beautiful design of the current C-Class in a convertible. I'll be trading in my A5 Cab for this as soon as it comes out.

That rear end looks very similar to the 1998 Chrysler Sebring cabrio.

The tail--thankfully--does not droop nor does it have vertical lights which are two things Mercedes does wrong in its design language. This is excellent.

I was expecting something more. Looks very bland.

What were you expecting? A cabriolet with an awkward looking helmet hard top. Oh, wait.......
