#GIMS: FIRST Look At The All-New Alfa Romeo Giulia In BASE Spec — Does It Get YOUR Respect?

Since the launch of the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia, we've been skeptical and intrigued. That's a good thing. We see so many products that are hated at first and then turn out to be brilliant and then we see products that are the inverse — loved at first then reviled.

As time has gone on and we've seen the all-new Giulia at the big-time auto shows, we have to admit: the Giulia has grown on us in a big way.

There's just one problem. The Giulia we've been seeing until now has been the hopped up, Quadrofoglio variant. In other words, it boasts around 500 horsepower and will square up with the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63 S.

Most likely this is NOT going to be the common Giulia. Think: How often do you see a 328i over an M3?

That said, we're finally getting a first look at the base spec Giulia. We're awaiting more shots but these three will have to suffice for now.

I actually like the blacked out grills better in the lower version.
Orders start on April 15 in Europe.

Pretty good looking car. The front-end reminds of a hawk's face. Rear says affordable Maserati. Tasteful design. Hear that, Lexus?

I like it. Further I think the interior looks nice in the wood trim.
