Hot new Audi SQ7 Range Rover Sport rival features electric compressor and 900Nm of torque for 4.8sec 0-62mph time

Just days after Audi launched the sensible Q2 at the Geneva , Audi has unveiled the hottest version of its Q7 SUV line-up, the 429bhp SQ7. It will go on sale in May 2016 priced from around £70,000 with the first deliveries in August.

Is it just me, or did anyone else also cringe at the announcement of a Diesel passenger vehicle, which can't be sold in North America, and made during the greatest scandal in recent memory, which is Dieselgate? This might be the best example of bad timing from the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) since... forever.

Audi should quickly launch a 4.0TT V8 high-line Q7 (platform-mate of the Bentayga), perhaps even LWB, for $100,000-$125,000.

I'm not sure if this boy-racer SQ7 would do it in the US - its a little gaudy. They should go the other direction and tart-up the interior with more leather and wood veneer.

That would sell well too.

Yep, those black wheels and blacked-out grille make it bad-ass. C'mon Audi—where are your fu*king brains? Totally agree with The Steve (see above).
