All-new BMW M2s have begun arriving at dealers abroad and the force is strong with this one. While the general press has been printing very favorable reviews of the all-new BMW, it still lives in the shadow of the M3 and M4, which are legendary M products.
But, the little brother may have just socked its elder.
In a very short clip posted to a BMW forum, someone put both the M4 and the all-new M2 together. The purpose? A stock exhaust showdown.
The M4 has been criticized for its poor sound. While I haven't found it awful, I will say that it is not particularly great sounding at idle or at low RPMs. It shines above 3,500 RPM and screams at the high end.
The M2 I have no experience with but it sure does make a strong case for itself in this video.
If you're having trouble determining who's who, watch the M4's exhaust and see when it puffs some smoke from its ass end. That's when the M4 is revving.
