RENDERED SPECULATION: Would You Want A CONVERTIBLE Audi Q2? Maybe You Will AFTER You See THIS...
In my previous thread I gave the Spies a look at the all-new Land Rover Range Rove Evoque Convertible. It's a very daring model for Land Rover to offer the public. After seeing the mess that was the Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet, any brand that walks down that path deserves an award for having some serious brass.

Now if you recall, years ago Audi presented a sport-utility vehicle convertible concept. Frankly, we thought Audi would be first to the finish line. Clearly, something stopped the company although Volkswagen presented an open-top SUV at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show (GIMS).

But maybe, just maybe, Audi should reconsider.

Also seen at the Geneva show was an all-new compact utility vehicle from Audi dubbed the Q2. Considering the success of these SUV and CUVs in Europe, it seems that it may be the perfect product at the right time. Talk about connecting with the market.

Photoshop wizard, Theophilus Chin, decided to take the Q2 we saw and transform it into the Q2 Convertible. While there's absolutely zero word on whether or not Audi is considering such a product, it sure as hell is fun to think about.

What say you? Would YOU want a convertible Audi Q2 or should the mere thought be erased from our memories, permanently?

I have no idea of what the point is of circulating a rendering speculation of a product that a manufacturer has no intention of making.

I used to doodle stuff like this in the margins of my notebook in 3rd grade.

Actually the parent vehicle is delightful, but the concept ia a bit crazy. Still we said that about the foul BMW X coupé machines. At least it's not the great imposter, the Range Rover provoque, with its stupid ugly'an elephant sat on my roof' and the brain damage that can cause getting in it.What on earth is the point of a topless version if not for saving the banged heads getting in the back? Have you seen the nasty interiors? JLR have totally lost the plot on interiors it seems. The Q2 is a pretty little thing, hardly smaller than a Q3, mind, but very sweet styling and nice Audi interior. This could certainly sell...

Yes, I would definitely like to see the drop top version of the Audi Q2. Well, the Photoshop wizardry has definitely come out fantastic! Kudos to Theophilus Chin! But the only problem that haunts me about certain roadsters is their inability to tackle the wind noise, especially on a lead foot. The turbulence got so nasty that an additional wind deflector named BackBlade or something was mounted lately on my Mazda roadster to get rid of it! Now things are much better while cruising with the top down!

Only a handful of the roadsters has the ability of completely reining in the bogeys of wind noise and turbulence. Mine was no different until I was suggested to affix a wind deflector. After mounting the Windblox wind deflector my cabin got super-quiet, even while burning rubber at highway speeds.
