RUMOR: Going, Going, GONE! A Little Birdie Tells The Spies That…
One of the big reveals at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show (GIMS) was the all-new Porsche 911 R. This is a vehicle that just about every Porschephile has been agonizing for.

This is due to the fact the 911 (991) GT3 and 911 GT3 RS can only be had with PDK gearboxes and are perceived not to be as pure as some would like. According to Porsche, less than 1,000 911 Rs will be available for public consumption and the car apparently was sold out as of March 1 in the UK.

Keep in mind March 1 was the same day the car debuted.

Now in the U.S. it was a different story. While we were expected to get a larger allocation of vehicles and the price was set upwards of $180,000, it turns out they’ve been sold out according to one of our Porsche dealer friends.

Let us know if you have been trying to get your hands on one and if the experience was fruitful or if you’re stuck holding the bag. If you’ve put down some money and have not heard anything about your space you may want to give your dealer or sales associate a call as soon as possible.

That’s because things in the UK have not being going so well. See what I mean by clicking “Read Article” below!

The placement of the stripes looks like absolute shit. I understand the history, but this application is hideous. They should have just gone straight down the center or put Martini stripes.....love me some Martini stripes.

You know, it's funny. I said the same thing to 001 — I'd want it stripeless much like the 458 Speciale (looks better sans stripes).

He disagreed! He LOVES the stripes!

Certainly one of the most desirable 911s to come out in a long while. These will quickly double in price.

Dealers will "sell" them and then resell them at 2x the price.
