#NYIAS? LEAKED! The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Is Here…Sort Of

As avid Jeep rans, we’re pretty stoked to bring you this all-new news. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA) Jeep division recently had images of the new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk leaked.

That’s right, the whole banana has been revealed.

2016 New York Auto Show Preview

As I type this no further information has been released about the new sport-utility vehicle from FCA but we’re expecting official information to come about in short order. That’s because we assume it will make a 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS) appearance. It doesn’t take too much driving around the New York Tri-State region to figure out that it’s a major market for Jeep products.

From what we can see in the leaked images, it appears the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be trail rated and outfitted with some goodies. That includes tires that can do the on- and off-road thing, greater towing capacity, a unique paint scheme and those lovely contrasting red tow hooks. From the sole image of the interior it gets a slight revamp in form of leather and suede seats featuring a red contrasting stitch and black trim that I cannot discern if its simply black plastic or a piano finish. I guess we’ll have to wait to see the full details.

The Trailhawk Grand Cherokee variant shown here is just a trim only package & not the upcoming 707 HP Hellcat version enthusiasts have been salivating over. Maybe FCA & the idiot marketing brain trust at Jeep have come to their senses & decided to just keep the top performance model Grand Cherokee under the SRT umbrella & brand it as a Hellcat.
