#NYIAS: LEAKED! Like Fine Wine, The Jeep Grand Cherokee Keeps Getting BETTER With Age — NEW Summit Looks Quite Luxurious
In our humble opinion, one of the best sport-utility vehicles on the road today isn't the Audi Q5, BMW X3 or Mercedes-Benz GLE. In fact it would be something that's a bit more under the radar.

That would be the FCA Jeep Grand Cherokee. Talk about one seriously underestimated and underappreciated product.

I've had the pleasure of driving several and I have to say while the V8 power was nice I'd opt for the six-cylinder with an air suspension. The packaging plus UConnect is just fantastic. It's not the showiest piece in a lineup but it does everything excellently.

For the 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS) FCA will be bringing an updated version of the Summit model. This is the Grand Cherokee's flagship variant.

Check out the slew of photos that leaked early. According to what we're hearing the new Summit will join the Trailhawk on the Jeep stand. We'll pass along official information once it posts.

Tart up the old girl, find more production space, and rake in the profits.

Finally the Jeep designers came to their senses & decided to get rid of those ugly black plastic tabs underneath the Grand Cherokee's headlights.

I still like the original version of this generation the best.

Looks like they went back to a "normal" shifter also

I was seriously considering getting into the Jeep after hearing and reading about the interior and winning all kinds of awards and after I stepped into it, it felt much cheaper than it's worth. It may have a lot of features, but it doesn't having the panache of a 50K vehicle. Feels solid, but the interior is very cheap feeling and looking.
