SPIED On The STREET! WHICH All-New, 2016 Model Year Vehicles Have You Been Seeing?
In a completely unscientific method, we're a wee bit curious: WHICH all-new, 2016 model year vehicles have you been seeing around your 'hood?

Although it may seem to be a silly question at first, there's actually some merit here. That's because we want to know what all-new products are connecting with today's consumers. A lot — and I do mean a lot — of today's product decisions are based upon mountains of research.

You have to consider that these automobiles require millions, sometimes even billions, of dollars of research and development to spit out an end result. Sometimes these products are a hit and the research did its job, and others are a complete miss. Clearly, the wizardry and science behind product development and the scientists doing the calculations did not do the job.

So when I hear so much backlash from our commenters about a particular vehicle and then I see it all over the roads, I find it...interesting.

Case in point: The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe. It was said to be a BMW X6 clone and was reviled by many; however, they're starting to pop up all over the New York Tri-State region.

All that said, we're a bit curious. What all-new vehicles have you been seeing around your neighborhood?

I've seen a good number of GLE Coupes and AMG-GT's. Not to mention a bunch of new XC90's. One or two RC-F's. Tons of F-Types (is that new?). I've seen exactly one new 7 Series. Brand new Pilots are everywhere as are new RX's (though I will admit that I've seen a ton of new Muranos that I keep thinking is the new RX). Iv'e also spotted a bunch of new Maximas, which might be, to me, the least attractive car on the road now.

Have NOT seen a new Q7 (actually have seen a few 2015 Q7's with new tags, oddly). Have not seen the new TT. No GS-F's, either. Still waiting to see a new GLC's.

2017 Q7s are all popping up quite a bit by me. Have seen at least 6 so far.

Agree on the XC90s. Have seen a good amount of those.

I've seen quite a few of the all-new Audi Q7s around the New York Tri-State. Several in SoCal during the past two weeks I was there as well.

A TON of all-new Volvo XC90s.

A handful all-new Camaros.

Lexus NX and RX are killing it. Company couldn't have nailed it any better.

There are a lot of new Camaros here. I haven't seen one Q7 or XC90 here except what sits on the lot.

I've seen the new Camaro. Lots of new Lexuses — NX, RX, RC-F as well. Of course the XC90. And since I'm in central OH, I also have seen the new NSX, in various colors. It does stand out in traffic.

I was recently in China - and not only saw - but also had the chance to actually drive a CT6. I must say - I was impressed (It was a four cylinder too). Comparing it to old Police Panther Cruisers - it was far more agile - seemed to be larger inside - and yet - drove like it was an E-class Mercedes (Ie - a smaller car). The four cylinder had PLENTY of power for the average driver. (Especially in China). Based on the prices - I decided to put a deposit on one for my Mother - who needs a new car (Her sable is over 10 years old and is approaching 10,000 miles!) I did choose the regular 6 cylinder though - since I will likely get this car back.
