#NYIAS: DETAIL, DETAIL, DETAIL! 001 Gets Cozy In The Porsche 911 R's Throwback INTERIOR
While you may have seen my last thread waxing poetic about the Porsche 911, we've got a follow up to the 911 R's exterior picture story. That's because Agent 001 made sure to shoot its interior in detail.

There's good reason for this: Porsche spent an awful lot amount of time inside the 911 R to make it stand out from standard 911s on offer.

It's clear that Porsche really wanted the buyer to know that they were inside of something special.

Take, for example, little details like the white stitching, cocoa brown leather and old-school cloth upholstery. That's a bold move in today's design world. And then there's the mixture of new and old. Check out how the infotainment screen is missing and the carbon fiber-backed 918-style sport seats. How about the nylon door handles to get out?

To me, it's clear that Porsche wanted the owners to get into this vehicle and have a completely different mental state than the latest and greatest P cars. It's like they wanted to put you into a different time period.

Did they succeed? What say you, Spies?

Lets charge more for Less! I still expect many of these to be crashed. Too many overconfident drivers.

Indeed. It baffles me that people will spend big money because they want a sports car, but not a dime on driving school. I go once a year and I always learn something.
