Looks great in any color. Great that you can customize the side panel (blade) to suit the color.

Looks good, but seems to have an unusually tall roof. may be to accomodate for a helmet or better front view.

and i thought they're going to do something about that ugly "blade" before hitting production. i guess not. i always thought the car would be more beautiful and complete if the blades weren't there and revealed an exposed B pillar and eliminated a possible blind spot where the blades would be. the blade is just plain fugly. i guess not everyone understands vw/audi's styling and logic.

In black, silver and grey, you can get a matching side panel, so it doesn't even look like it's there.
I think the side-panel is a very elegant feature that distinguishes the car from others. I'd take it in any color, thanks!

I dont like this car. I LOVE IT!!!! .This is one of the best cars, I have ever seen. I want to see how BMWs M10 , Lexus LF-a will respond to that.

saucerboy if this looks dated, you must be living in the year 2050 because the car isn't even out.
Oh well I think I've counted 30 something positive reactions to every 1 negative. I'll take that.

I admidt that 48" is very low but this pic makes the greenhouse seem alittle bulbous compared with the gallardo. Although audi does say this will be the most usuable supercar ever. I'm curious to see the interior and luggage specs myself.

Oooh, sauceboy is jealous!
Audi actually made a sportscar that's faster than any BMW!
(Audi ALWAYS underestimates their 0-60 times, so expect it to reach about 4.1 seconds... and wait for the V10!)

The 0-60, if it can hit 4.1, will be matched by the BMW M5 and M6.
The V10 will clear 4.0 seconds as I have stated numerous times and should get around 3.6-3.8 seconds for 0-60 mph.
No BMW, is going to catch that....

Remember, the nearly 4,000 pound RS4 gets to 60 in only 4.3 seconds. The R8 with better wieght distribution and probably about 500 pounds of less weight will get to 60 in 4 seconds probably.

Go figure the offical press relaese.
Enough of your over hyping. This is the MOST OVER-HYPED car for sometime now.Not from the Audi side, but from the Biassed Audi Fans.
AMazing to see that u ignorants still have the nerve to say it can do 0-60 in 4 seconds.
When offically it is doing 0-60 in 4.6 seconds yes 4.6 seconds.
No way way more powerful(MORE HP) or faster than the new RS4.
SO it clearly shows that u biassed Audi guys have no idea, and are blind and biassed towards Audi miserably.
So atleast from now don't claim or challenge big players, there is no way even the upcoming V10 can do 0-60 under 4.0 seconds. Most probably 4.2-4.3 seconds.
BTW it's a really good addition to the Audi line-up.

Now way faster than RS4? Jugnu how can that be possible?
First off, RS4 weighs 3,800 lbs. R8 weighs less than 3,400 lbs.
Second, R8 is mid-engined RS4 is front engined.
Third, R8 has much better weight distribution.
I don't care what a car officially runs Jugnu, to me the fastest time is the fastest time that a car has been clocked by an Auto magazine.
The V8 can hit 4 seconds.
Why on earth then would the V10 only make it in 4.2 seconds????

So in everything u r with AUDI,But when they said the 0-60 for this car u r not with them. Why because it is not upto the false hype which was made by u and your biass Audi fans.
Wow...Germannut
This car is not made by u or me,what they made, tested and said,u have no other option but to accept it.
LIKE IT OR NOT.
And why Audi would not say the real performance numbers?
Why they have to degrade their car?
Germannut, yes i am also LITTLE surprised with the performance figures, 0-60 in 4.6 sec,and not even a single change and improvement in the engine or BHP,same as it is lifted from the RS4.
But it's offiical,it's tested from the ULTIMATE SOURCE.AUDI.
SO NO ONE CAN DENY THAT.0-60 IN 4.6 SECONDS.
ALL in ALL,this is a good Sports CAR,a great additon to the AUDI FAMILY.

Jugnu, are you going to say that a BMW 335i sedan CAN'T go 0-60 in 4.8 seconds the way Car and Driver claimed. Based on your post, it would be physically impossible for cars to go BELOW their STATED times by the manufacturer.
Are you saying a Porsche 911 Turbo can't go faster than 3.7 seconds to 60 mph even though many tests have gotte it in the 3.4-3.6 range.
I'm sorry, Jugnu but I believe what I read through tests. I can't believe what the manufacturer states if car magazines have gotten faster times repeatedly on more than one occasion.
GermanNut -

Jugnu, car manufacturers understate their times because if any single car is any slower than the number indicated, (4.6 for 0-62 for the R8 in this case) they can be sued for false advertising.
That means an R8 can't be slower than 4.6 seconds from 0-62 but it can be faster, and on average it is.

I would rethink your lack of common sense. As you stated, sometimes car manufacturers overestimate the time, as with the A6. Why did Audi say 0-62 in 4.8 for the RS4 and it got down to 4.3 and routinely hit at 4.5?
Why did BMW say the 335i coupe goes 0-62 in 5.3 with a manual and 5.4 with an automatic, and C&D got the automatic to go in 4.9.
Why did BMW say the 335i sedan goes 0-62 in 5.4 with manual and 5.5 with automatic and C&D got a manual to go in 4.8?
Why does Porsche say the 911 Turbo only does 0-60 in 3.7, meanwhile many magazines have gotten it to go in 3.4-3.6.
Why does BMW say the M5 goes 0-60 in 4.5 meanwhile it has gotten down to 4.1 and 4.3 seconds a number of times?
