Range Rover Coupe Sets Sights On BMW's X6 - Can They Take It Down?

Range Rover’s next new model will break fresh ground by moving the brand into sportier and more-road biased territory with a luxury £60k model pitched at the BMW X6.

The new model, codenamed L560, could be named Range Rover Sport Coupé. It has been known for some time that a Range Rover was being developed that shared its alloy chassis with the Jaguar F-Pace, but the make-up of the model has been kept secret.

For starters, this rendering sucks. The front wheel is just all flavors of fkd.

Some cars will do things better than others, and some will never be matched....the X6 is one such car. Range Rover has proven time and time again their "sporty" SUVs cannot compete with the Germans. I doubt this time will be any different.

If anything Land Rover Range Rover should do the SUVs and Jaguar should do crossover coupes.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport Coupé...that's definitely a big mouthful.

Name aside, it could work. Sharing the chassis may save a big chunk of curb weight than if they used/revised the current RR Sport chassis.

The I-Type concept/rendering is pretty nice.

A RR Sport coupe based off the I-Type could be really cool.

I think this will be a huge hit for the brand. A larger Evoque would look great and better than the RR Sport.

Its not BMW that will keep this to limited numbers but the Mercedes SUV Coupes that are taking market by storm and cannot be kept in stock. US dealers are begging for more as waiting list extends.
