#NYIAS: Is The Alfa Romeo Giulia's Quadrifoglio Interior As SEXY As You'd Expect An Italian Auto To Be?
While we've been seeing the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia pop up at auto shows for about a year now, the thing is that the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) company has been pretty reluctant to unlock the cars — even on press days. I've always found this weird as you can hop into anything at these shows.

That's the whole point.

2016 New York Auto Show

The the 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS), things were a bit different. That's because we got to roam around the inside of not only the all-new Giulia base cars, but also the all-new M3-rivaling Giulia Quadrifoglio.

With a mix of Alcantara, black and red trim and plenty of carbon fiber, it certainly has our attention. That said, what do YOU make of the Giulia Quadrifoglio's interior?

1 - It has the same Drivers instruments as my Mini-van - and the big space in between the Speedo and Tach make it hard to actually see the speedo and tach while driving.
2 - It is too comic book to be sexy

It is by far the biggest let down of the vehicle and will keep me from considering it

It's a low-down, dirty, crass, worst example of parts-bin engineering. It would have made a good Dodge Dart to slide under the Charger.

It's not even sexy for a German.

Every photo of this vehicle so far has had models standing around it wearing mini dresses. Replace them with who'd actually drive them (older guys) posing next to the vehicle and you'll see whether it has any actual sexiness to it.

The answer will be no. There's nothing sexy about this car.

The Giulia will be a complete flop here in North America.

What's the deal with that Archaic transmission?

It's called a manual transmission. People who know how to drive, and enjoying driving prefer them. Compared to the rest of the drones out there.

You mean the slower transmission? Are Lamborghini's drones? They don't have manual transmissions. Ferrari La Ferrari, now that's a drone. And then there's that drone called the Porsche 918. Don't for get about that other drone the Bugatti Veyron. I don't need to look like I'm having a convulsion every gear shift to feel "invloved" with the driving. Guess I"m different. And I've owned several manual transmission cars in the past as well as sport-bikes. I swore by them. After driving a dual-clutch and experiencing the faster shifts and the ability the shift gears mid-tun (without upsetting the chassis), I knew which one actually was the better performer and never looked back.

It's getting slowly dated because it's taking too long to get to market.

Well hoping against hope that there are enough people out there that feel like me. That is simply that there is a complete feeling of being tired of "German Iron" and a desire to own something different but still European. If the car handles and performs as advertised it should have a following. It will also be very important to have "red Carpet" service like BMW, Audi, and Mercedes if it is going to be a success here. By the way Tom M the space between the Speedo and Tach are classic Alfa design.
